GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY HELD FOR FORMÜL PLASTİK METAL FACTORY
Formül Plastik held the groundbreaking ceremony for its Metal Factory, an investment that will further strengthen its production power and investment vision, with a high level of participation.
The ceremony, held in Kapaklı, was attended by Kapaklı District Governor Mr. Mustafa Gürdal, Kapaklı Mayor Mr. Mustafa Çetin, Chairman of the Board of Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Ahmet Çetin, Kapaklı Organized Industrial Zone Director Mr. Mehmet Hızlı, Formül Plastik Chairman of the Board Haydar Şahin, company executives, employees, and numerous members of the press.
“Half a Century of Effort Transformed into a Major Investment”
Speaking at the ceremony, Formül Plastik Chairman of the Board Haydar Şahin shared the company’s journey from its foundation to the present day:
“Half a century ago, I began this journey as an apprentice at a lathe machine. Today, I am proud to be laying the foundation of one of the most important investments of our company.
We started as a small mold workshop in 1990. Today, we are a strong manufacturer exporting to more than 90 countries across 5 continents. In January, we successfully completed our IPO process with 7.7 times oversubscription. This achievement is also a reflection of our determination to fulfill the promises we made to our investors.”
Emphasizing the vision behind the investment, Şahin continued:
“We always had a goal at every step: to do our job better and to contribute more to our country. This journey has taught us that success is only possible through a strong team and great effort. The Metal Factory, whose foundation we are laying today, is a concrete reflection of this vision.”
“Promises Made Are Being Delivered”
Vice Chairman of the Board and Deputy General Manager Fahri Kumbul highlighted that the investment is also a result of the commitments made during the IPO process:
“Just 3.5 months ago, at the bell-ringing ceremony held at Borsa İstanbul, we stated that two new factories would be commissioned in a short period of time. Today, we are pleased to be fulfilling that promise.”
Kumbul also underlined that the investment was realized despite challenging economic conditions:
“Although we received attractive investment offers from many countries, our preference has always been to invest in our own country. This decision is not only economic but also strategic and national.”
New Investment, Increased Capacity and Employment
With the Metal Factory investment, Formül Plastik aims to significantly increase its production capacity, expand its product range, and provide higher value-added solutions to its customers.
The investment is also expected to contribute to the regional economy and create new employment opportunities.
Emphasizing that production creates not only economic but also social value, Kumbul stated:
“To produce is not only to manufacture goods, but also to create trust, stability, and reputation. This factory is a strong investment in the future.”
Emphasis on Regional Contribution
Chairman of the Board of Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmet Çetin also emphasized the importance of the investment for the region and thanked Formül Plastik management for the employment and added value they provide.
Following the speeches, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Formül Plastik Metal Factory was officially held.
